From October 18 to October 25 in the village. Elanda, Tselinny District, Altai Territory, 20,000 trees were planted. A new cedar forest will appear on the territory of 19 hectares, which will protect the inhabitants of the Tselinny district from winds and desertification. Residents of the village, administration staff and volunteers came out to support the action to plant a forest. They approached work responsibly and planted every tree to the last. A master class on handling seedlings and planting tools was held for them.
“We have all heard about the terrible forest fires in our country, and therefore it is very great to be able to organize and participate in such events aimed at restoring our forests. Only a third of Russia's forests are restored naturally, the rest require special measures to restore them. Today, the ECA movement, thanks to the Plant a Forest project, is solving this problem by attracting partners and restoring forests in different regions.
