On October 7, 2023, a rally was held to restore forests on the territory of the Mordovian reserve in the Temnikovsky district

The organizer of the action was the MAOO "ECA". The planting zone of pines, oak and linden was divided into two sectors. At each of the sites, a briefing was held for volunteers and control over the quality of landing.

Among the participants in the action are students of the Russian Legal Academy, students of the Faculty of Geographical, silver volunteers, activists of the city of Temnikov, representatives of the Temnikovsky territorial forestry. For participants who could not get to the Mordovian reserve, a transfer of Saransk was organized.

«It is gratifying that 70 volunteers of different ages and social statuses, despite the bad weather, woke up at 6 in the morning on their weekend and came to contribute to the restoration of burned areas. After work, everyone was treated with hot vegetarian porridge and tea. In order not to pollute the environment, during the distribution of treats there was reusable dishes, and tea was poured into thermal circles, which the participants were asked to take with them in advance. On each landing, we try not only to help the forest, but also to engage in eco -lungs - for volunteers a tour was conducted on the museum of the Mordovian reserve", - said Julia Arshinova, head of the regional branch of the Green Movement of Russia" ECA "in the Republic of Mordovia.

Alexander Ruchin, Director of the FSBU "Reserve Mordovia" noted the particular significance of what happened: ""A unique event took place in the Mordovian reserve. For the first time, in almost half a century, work was carried out on forestry. This measure was necessary due to fires that occurred in the reserve in 2010 and 2021. They affected more than 30% of the area of ​​the territory. In order to restore the environmental systems that were here 70-80 years ago, we started forestry.

Great thanks to everyone who took a direct part in this big business - and put linden, oaks, pines with their own hands. I note that this was a purposeful forestry, the alternation of sections of deciduous and coniferous trees will contribute to fire safety».

Anyone can support the project through the Restraint Restoration Service Plant the Forest. Donations are made by both private individuals and a socially responsible business. Planting trees in the Republic of Mordovia is held twice a year, in the spring and autumn, starting in 2015.
