Residents of the Tyumen region have again joined the all-Russian campaign to restore forests.
On October 2, 2021, in the Tyumen region, an action was held to plant ten thousand trees in the Berdyuzhsky district as part of the spring action of the All-Russian project "Plant a Forest". Corporate volunteers from Sberbank and volunteers from the Volunteer Association "Cycle" planted Scots pine saplings and laid 3.5 hectares of future forest.
Everyone could join the planting as volunteers. Regional organizers provided transportation to and from the landing site for the volunteers, meals, and provided all the necessary equipment. Forestry specialists held a master class before the start of the event. Young trees were planted in areas specially prepared by the local forestry, which will carry out the subsequent care of the seedlings.
Planting trees helps to concentrate precipitation, create a comfortable and humid microclimatic environment, reduce wind force at the level of the surface air layer and make the climate less arid. And the use of tree species that are resistant to arid climate will help to level the average daily temperatures and dramatically slow down the steppe formation.
Reforestation and reforestation on Russia's southern border stops the spread of deserts and steppes and protects land from degradation.
“The planting was carried out on the site of a pea field. The land was in the forest fund, but since Soviet times it has been used for agricultural studies. This year, work has begun on forest cultivation in this area ”
