16,000 pines were planted by volunteers of the federal project to Plant the Forest in Chernorechensom of Forestry near Orenburg.
On this cold morning, 170 people gathered for landing! Specialists of the Orenburg branch of Sberbank, students of the Law Academy, Russian Railways, residents of Orenburg and Perevlotsky. All of them became volunteers of the project “Plant the Forest” of the ECA movement. Some have already participated in the landings last year and now they had to land 16,000 pines together.
The Orenburg region cannot boast of its forests: in the vast territory of the region, only 4% of the land is occupied by forests. There is a steppe, dusty storms and winds - a scourge of residents of Orenburg. These climatic phenomena can be dealt with with the help of forests. And given that the survival rate under artificial forestry in the region is problematic, the manual labor of volunteers is especially valuable. Foresters directly say that there are more chances to grow in volunteer forests than in trees planted by a forestry plant.
Our volunteers together took up work. The tractor cut the furrows into which the seedlings of pine trees immediately planted. The cold only made people work friendly. But even the rain that froze for dinner did not frighten the participants - on the contrary, he instilled confidence that the planted seedlings would necessarily take root on their native land.
The project “Plant the Forest” thanks everyone who participated in this landing of the forest near Orenburg. In a few hours, the forces of people are born a new forest, which immediately begins to give us clean air and water, returning to people their good.
